Flixpress Alternatives for Intros and Video Templates

Flixpress, the online video maker known for intro templates, logo reveals and photo presentations, is no longer available. Flixpress.com now hosts a general news blog. There is no sign-in, template gallery or plan page, so old accounts cannot be reached. Flixpress worked in the browser: you picked a template, typed your text, added images on paid tiers and rendered a video, with free watermarked previews on every level.

The tools below do the same job. The first four cover the Flixpress use most people search for, which is a quick intro or logo animation, free or cheap. The last three are general editors with intro templates, for when you also need to cut the rest of the video.

Prices below are as of November 8, 2026. Our method is on How we review tools.

Renderforest

Of everything still online, Renderforest feels most like Flixpress. You choose an intro or logo animation template, drop in your logo and text, pick a track and render. Its template menu has separate sections for intro videos and logo animations, the two things Flixpress was best known for.

There is a free plan to try templates, and paid exports carry no watermark, per the Renderforest plans page. Newer AI tools such as text-to-video sit next to the templates. For other options in this style, see our Renderforest alternatives.

Best for: Former Flixpress users who want the same pick, type and render workflow.

Pricing:

  • Free plan for testing templates
  • Lite: US$9 a month billed yearly, or US$15 billed monthly
  • Pro: US$19 a month billed yearly, or US$39 billed monthly
  • Business: US$39 a month billed yearly, or US$59 billed monthly

Watch out for:

  • Monthly billing on Pro costs US$39, more than twice the yearly rate, so a one-off intro is cheaper on Lite.

Placeit

Placeit sells one Unlimited subscription that covers video templates, logos, mockups and designs, with unlimited downloads and commercial use. Its intro maker works in the browser, so like Flixpress you never install anything.

The monthly plan renews automatically, per the Placeit pricing page, and yearly billing brings the cost down to about US$8.33 a month. A selection of free templates needs only a free account.

Best for: Streamers and small brands who need many intros, logos and mockups each month.

Pricing:

  • Free account with a selection of free templates
  • Unlimited: US$14.95 a month billed monthly, auto-renews
  • Unlimited yearly: about US$8.33 a month, billed yearly

Watch out for:

  • Download even one template and the monthly plan carries a one-month minimum commitment.

Panzoid

Free intros were the main draw of Flixpress for many YouTubers, and Panzoid keeps that price at zero. Clipmaker builds custom intros, titles and transitions in the browser at no cost, and a second tool, Backgrounder 3, makes channel art and banners.

There are no plans, credits or watermark tiers to compare. You open the editor, build the clip and render it, which suits gaming and fan channels that post often and pay nothing.

Best for: YouTube and gaming channels that need a free intro.

Pricing:

  • Free: Clipmaker and Backgrounder 3

Watch out for:

  • The Panzoid home page still labels Clipmaker as version 0.5 Alpha, so expect rough edges and no support desk.

Envato

Envato is a different model from Flixpress. Instead of rendering online, you download a template project, open it in After Effects or Premiere Pro and change it there. The quality ceiling is much higher, and the library has a dedicated video intros category.

Core, Plus and Ultimate all include unlimited downloads of video templates and a lifetime commercial licence, per the Envato pricing page. Higher tiers add more AI credits for images, voiceovers and video.

Best for: Editors who already own After Effects or Premiere Pro.

Pricing:

  • Core: US$16.50 a month billed yearly, or US$39 billed monthly
  • Plus: US$39 a month billed yearly, or US$59 billed monthly
  • Ultimate: US$168 a month billed yearly, or US$259 billed monthly
  • Enterprise: contact sales
  • Prices exclude local tax

Watch out for:

  • Each download is licensed for one specific project, and cancelled subscriptions are not refunded.
  • Templates are built for specific apps, so check the version you need before you download.

Canva

For a plain animated logo or a title card, Canva is enough and costs nothing to start. Its YouTube intro templates sit next to the matching channel banner and thumbnail templates, so the whole channel look comes from one brand kit.

Pro adds premium stock video and Animations Pro, with more than 14 animation styles, per the Canva Pro page.

Best for: Channels that want intro, banner and thumbnails in one matching style.

Pricing:

  • Free plan
  • Pro: US$12.99 a month billed monthly, or US$119.99 a year billed yearly (US prices)

Watch out for:

  • Starting a Pro trial requires a card on file, so set a reminder if you only need one intro.

CapCut

Flixpress made only the intro. CapCut makes the intro and then edits the rest of the video on a multi-track timeline, so a creator can do everything in one app on a phone or desktop.

Free templates and basic editing cost nothing. Pro is US$19.99 a month with 1,200 AI credits and 1 TB of storage, according to the CapCut pricing page.

Best for: Creators who want the intro and the edit in the same free app.

Pricing:

  • Free: free templates and basic editing
  • Pro: US$19.99 a month, 1,200 AI credits
  • Ultra: US$79 a month
  • Teams: US$12.49 per seat a month

Watch out for:

  • The prices shown are for reference. Your real price, tax and offers appear only after you sign in.

Adobe Express

Adobe Express suits people who want a tidy branded intro rather than a flashy one. Adobe Fonts and Adobe Stock are built in, and the free plan allows videos up to 30 minutes with 5 GB of storage.

Premium costs US$9.99 a month on monthly billing with 250 generative credits, per the Adobe Express plans page. No yearly contract is needed.

Best for: Small businesses that want a clean intro in their brand fonts.

Pricing:

  • Free: videos up to 30 minutes, 5 GB
  • Premium: US$9.99 a month, billed monthly
  • Firefly Pro: US$19.99 a month, billed monthly
  • Teams: US$4.99 per licence a month in year one, then US$7.99, yearly plan billed monthly

Watch out for:

  • The free plan gets no monthly credit allowance, only limited daily generations in some AI tools.

If you still have Flixpress videos

Videos you downloaded from Flixpress are ordinary video files and still play anywhere. Templates, drafts and account settings lived on Flixpress servers, so they cannot be reopened or edited. Rebuild your intro in Renderforest or Placeit, which both sell logo reveals in a similar style, and keep the new project file this time.

Frequently asked questions

What happened to Flixpress?

The video maker is gone. Flixpress.com now runs a general news blog, and the sign-in, templates and plans pages no longer exist. Accounts and saved projects cannot be recovered through the site.

Is there a Flixpress app or free download?

No. Flixpress was a browser tool and never had an official desktop installer, so treat any site offering a Flixpress download with caution. For a free intro maker, use Panzoid in the browser or CapCut on desktop and mobile.

What is the best free intro maker like Flixpress?

Panzoid's Clipmaker is free with no paid tier. CapCut and Canva also make intros on their free plans. Renderforest has a free plan for trying templates, with clean exports on Lite at US$9 a month billed yearly.

Where can I find intro templates like Flixpress had?

Renderforest and Placeit both have intro and logo reveal galleries you edit in the browser. Envato's library is larger and more polished, but you edit its templates in After Effects or Premiere Pro.
