Founders keep buying the wrong badge because the venue looks like one event. A founder ticket is the talks, the hallway, and the meetings you already booked before you land. A sponsor booth is a wall, a badge scan, and a list you work after you fly home. They share a building. They do not share an invoice.
What you need in 2026 is narrower than another "best conferences" dump. You need a date you can still buy, a city you will actually fly to, and a pass that matches the work. Pre-seed wants investor density. Series B wants partners in the hallway. A sponsor wants scans. A payments floor is a different trip from a Lisbon hallway at scale, which is why general SaaS overpays for the vertical show.
We read official 2026 pages for dates, city, and format, then the first-party ticket pages for a public starting price. If that page does not print a number, the table says Quote. A discount clock moves, so confirm the live figure at checkout. The method is on How we review tools.
Four in-person founder rooms, in date order. Booths are a different invoice. Quote unless a stand price is public.

Already ran or next year: SaaStr Annual, May 12-14, 2026, San Mateo (done). VivaTech, June 16-19, 2027, Paris. Web Summit Vancouver, May 25-28, 2027. Founders Forum Global, June 8-10, 2027, London. RISE has no 2026 or 2027 date on the official site.
TechCrunch Disrupt

TechCrunch Disrupt is the Bay Area founder room that still prints a Founder Pass on the 2026 event page. Three days at Moscone West. Battlefield on stage. Deal Flow Café if you bought the founder SKU. In-person. The Expo Hall is the other invoice.
Best for: Pre-seed and Series A founders who will actually take investor meetings in San Francisco the week of October 13. Operators who want Monday-morning GTM notes can sit in Builders. A sponsor who needs scans should buy the booth.
Dates and city: October 13-15, 2026. Moscone West, San Francisco. In-person. Official event page.
What you actually get: Six stages (Disrupt, Builders, AI, Real World AI, Smart Money, Smart Systems). More than 200 sessions. Startup Battlefield 200 is already selected for 2026. The Founder Pass includes matchmaking and Deal Flow Café. Official side events run around the city the week of October 10-16.
Notable limitations:
- Battlefield applications are closed for 2026. Watch, or wait for 2027.
- The Expo Hall is a different purchase. A founder badge does not include a wall.
- San Francisco hotels will eat the ticket. The discount clock on the event page moves. Confirm the live figure at checkout.
Tickets: Founder Pass $799 (regular $1,099). Attendee Pass $749 (regular $1,049). Investor Pass $899 (regular $1,199). Group discounts exist. Booth and partner packages: Quote.
Should I buy the Founder Pass or a booth?
If you are raising, buy the Founder Pass, not the expo wall. The café and the matchmaking sit on the founder SKU. A booth is for a team that already has a demo and a person who will stand in it for three days.
Money20/20 USA

Money20/20 USA is not a general founder festival. It is the Venetian payments and banking show. The founder SKU exists only if your product is fintech and you want meetings with banks, networks, and treasury teams. Everyone else will overpay for the wrong room. It sits next to the other top conferences as a vertical. It does not replace Slush.
Best for: Early-stage fintech founders with a live product, under three years old, under $5M raised, who can pass the startup application. Series B fintech that needs a wall should talk to sponsorship. General SaaS should skip.
Dates and city: October 18-21, 2026. The Venetian, Las Vegas. In-person. Official USA homepage.
What you actually get: Show floor, content stages, Money20/20 Connect for 1:1s, the attendee list, meals on site. Startup Hub and a pitch track for companies that qualify. The organizer claims 11,000+ senior attendees and 1-in-3 C-suite.
Notable limitations:
- The Early Stage dollars sit on a pass page, not the homepage, and the rate is application-gated. The exclusive-rate copy also says you attended as a startup in a previous year. The eligibility bullets say incorporation after October 1, 2023 and under $5M. Those two official texts disagree. Confirm both rules before you budget it.
- Consultancies, sole traders, VCs, and firms selling services into financial services do not qualify for the startup rate.
- Sponsorship is a separate line. A startup pass does not include a pod.
Tickets: Early Stage Startup Pass $1,545 on the official pass page. Growth Stage was printed in the 2026 attendee brochure. Standard and Platinum: confirm on the live pass picker. Sponsorship: Quote.
Web Summit

Web Summit is the Lisbon scale room. Four days, MEO Arena, speaker content across 32 industries, Night Summit, a searchable attendee list. The founder ticket is the general attendee pass. ALPHA and a booth are the exhibit SKUs. Do not mix them up.
Best for: Series A and later founders who want press, partners, and hallway at European scale. Pre-seed can get lost in the crowd. A team that needs a wall should apply for the startup program instead of only buying a seat.
Dates and city: November 9-12, 2026. MEO Arena, Lisbon. In-person. Official 2026 page.
What you actually get: Exhibition floor, speaker content, curated Meetups, Night Summit, masterclasses, a downloadable contact file, and a schedule builder. VIP adds lounge, catering, and meeting spaces. Chairperson is the hospitality SKU on the same tickets page.
Notable limitations:
- ALPHA startup access is apply-only. The tickets page does not print an ALPHA price. Quote on acceptance.
- The room is huge. If you do not book meetings before you land, you bought a walk.
- A general badge is not a stand. Exhibit is a different button on the same site.
Tickets: General attendee €630 excl. sales tax (listed from €1,595). VIP €1,585 excl. sales tax. Chairperson €20,285 excl. sales tax. ALPHA: Quote.
Is the general attendee ticket enough if I also want a wall?
No. The general pass is the hallway. A wall is exhibit or ALPHA. Apply for the startup program if you need the stand. Keep the general ticket if the work is talks plus meetings you already booked.
Slush

Slush is the one that still prices a founder ticket like a founder ticket. Two days in Helsinki, an application-reviewed Startup Pass, a meeting tool, and Day 0 for Founders on November 17. Investor density is the pitch. The booth is a separate partner line.
Best for: Pre-seed, seed, and Series A tech founders (company founded 2016 or later, still independent). European teams especially. Solo GPs and angels buy Investor. Scaleups are pointed at Ecosystem or Thursday.
Dates and city: November 18-19, 2026 (Wednesday-Thursday). Messukeskus, Messuaukio 1, Helsinki. Day 0 on November 17: Founders Day at Cable Factory, Investor Day at Finlandia Hall. In-person. Official homepage and FAQ.
What you actually get: Two-day access, the meeting tool and meeting area, mentoring and investor office hours on the Startup Pass, Day 0 for Founders, and the afterparty. The 2026 homepage claims 12,000+ attendees and says 76% are startups or investors. Side events run all week.
Notable limitations:
- The Startup Pass is application-reviewed. Tickets are non-refundable. Transfer is allowed before the badge is printed.
- Ecosystem is sold out. Thursday is the leftover day pass.
- Helsinki in November is a real travel cost. Confirm Day 0 venues on the FAQ before you book the extra night.
Tickets: Startup 395€ incl. 13.5% VAT. Investor 1,195€ incl. VAT (solo GP and angel €100 off). Thursday 595€ (listed from 1,195€). Startup booths €1,500 for one day and €3,000 for two, Series A or earlier, on the startups page.
Other founder conferences worth considering
SaaStr Annual already happened. May 12-14, 2026, San Mateo County Event Center. The 2027 cluster describes May 2027 and does not lock the days. Do not budget a flight on a month.
VivaTech ran June 17-20, 2026 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles. The official wrap names June 16-19, 2027 for the next edition. It is booth-heavy. The same founder-ticket versus stand split applies. Attendee price for 2027: Quote.
Collision no longer lives in Toronto. The successor is Web Summit Vancouver, May 25-28, 2027, Vancouver Convention Centre, on the official Vancouver page. The 2026 Vancouver edition already ran. Same organizer family as Lisbon.
RISE still describes itself as the Asia gathering produced with the Web Summit team. The official site does not print 2026 or 2027 dates. We will not invent them.
Founders Forum Global is dated June 8-10, 2027 on the official page. Register your interest. Invite-shaped. Quote. London. The ecosystem around that week is the same one we cover in Top UK startups.
FAQs
Why isn't SaaStr Annual on this shortlist?
The 2026 edition already ran May 12-14 in San Mateo. The next edition is described as May 2027. Exact days were not on the official page we read. We do not invent a date.
Do I need a booth at Web Summit if I already bought general attendee?
No. General attendee is talks, a floor walk, Meetups, Night Summit. A stand is exhibit or ALPHA. Buy the stand only if someone will staff it.
Is Money20/20 a founder conference?
Only if you sell into banks, payments, or treasury. The Early Stage Startup Pass is the founder SKU. The rest of the show is a fintech deal floor. General SaaS should fly to Disrupt or Slush instead.
Can I do Web Summit and Slush on one trip?
Yes on the calendar. Lisbon November 9-12, Helsinki November 18-19, a week in between. Two cities, two hotel bills, two sets of meetings to book. Stack them only if both rooms already have names on your calendar.
What happened to Collision?
It moved and rebranded. The next North American Web Summit date on the official Vancouver page is May 25-28, 2027.
Bottom line
Name the artifact you need this quarter. If it is investor conversations, start with Slush or Disrupt. If it is a Lisbon hallway at scale, start with Web Summit. If it is a bank meeting, start with Money20/20. If it is a wall, buy the booth and staff it. A founder ticket does not include a stand.
