A design call made in one planning meeting can shape a system for ten years. Architects learn most from people who made similar calls and can say what broke later. General developer events give that one track at best. Architecture conferences give it whole days of case studies, modelling workshops and long question rounds.
This page lists the 2027 events where architecture is the main subject or a large part of the program. It covers a London program with recordings, a domain-driven design event in Amsterdam, two Munich events for the German-speaking market, and the IEEE research conference in Sydney. Two events still running in November 2026 are listed in their own section.

OOP
OOP is a four-day software engineering conference in Munich with more than 120 talks, keynotes and workshops, up to seven parallel tracks, and an exhibition. It is a general program, so pick your architecture sessions from the agenda. The site is German first, with an English version.
Best for: Architects and tech leads in Germany, Austria and Switzerland who want design, methods and engineering practice in one building in early February.
Dates and city: February 2-5, 2027. SCC München, Munich. In-person.
What you actually get: Up to 7 parallel tracks over 4 days. The Full Konferenz Pass covers Tuesday to Friday, including the workshop day. The Konferenz Pass covers Wednesday to Friday. Flex tickets cover one or two days.
Notable limitations:
- The main site does not state the session language. Check each session if you need English talks.
- All prices are net. 19% German VAT is added on top.
- The early-bird price ends December 4, 2026.

ICSA 2027
ICSA 2027 is the 24th IEEE International Conference on Software Architecture. It mixes peer-reviewed research with an industry track called Software Architecture in Practice.
Best for: Architects who read research, academics, and industry teams who want to present a case study to a research audience.
Dates and city: March 8-12, 2027, Sydney, Australia. The conference site body text and the official call for papers give these dates. The site header still reads "dates to be announced". The venue is listed as TBD.
What you actually get: Research papers and the Software Architecture in Practice industry track. The submission deadline for both was November 4, 2026.
Notable limitations:
- Registration fees are not published yet.
- The venue is not announced.
- Much of the program is academic. Read the accepted papers before you send a delivery team.
Tickets: Not announced. The conference page does not list registration fees yet.
Software Architecture Summit Munich
Software Architecture Summit is a hands-on training event. The Munich edition runs three workshop days and one new conference day, with half-day workshops and two-day bootcamps on AI architecture and GenAI and MLOps.
Best for: Architects and senior developers in the German-speaking market who want to learn in workshops rather than sit through talks.
Dates and city: March 15-18, 2027. Monday is a workshop day. Tuesday and Wednesday are workshop or bootcamp days. Thursday is the conference day. Holiday Inn, Inselkammerstraße 7-9, Unterhaching, just outside Munich. The home page summary says March 15-19, but the Munich page and its ticket page list the four-day plan ending March 18.
What you actually get: Half-day workshops on architecture, modelling and design, two-day bootcamps, and one conference day. Passes cover one to four days.
Notable limitations:
- The site is in German. Check the language of each workshop.
- The ticket page also says on-site tickets will be available soon. Check that booking is open before you plan.
- Prices exclude VAT. Early-bird prices end December 17.

QCon London is three days at the QEII Centre in Westminster, with an optional half-day architecture certification on the fourth day. The 2027 track list includes Architecture in the Age of AI.
Best for: Architects and staff engineers in Europe who want a broad senior program, and teams that need recordings for colleagues who stay home.
Dates and city: Conference April 13-15, 2027. InfoQ Certified Architect Program April 16, 2027. The QEII Centre, Broad Sanctuary, Westminster, London. In-person, with a Video-Only Pass.
What you actually get: Every pass includes 12 months of session recordings. An optional half-day architecture certification. Team discounts for three or more people from the same company from November 11, 2026.
Notable limitations:
- Early-bird pricing ends November 10, 2026.
- Prices exclude VAT or sales tax. UK conference passes carry 20% VAT, with reverse charge for UK companies with a VAT number.
- The team discount table on the registration page lists overlapping bands. Confirm group pricing with info@qconlondon.com.
Tickets: Conference (3 days) £2,390 until November 10, then £2,490. Conference plus Architecture Certification £2,900, then £3,000. Video-Only Pass £470, then £515. All excluding VAT or sales tax.
Is the QCon London video-only pass enough?
It covers the talks for much less. Recordings open on April 30, 2027. You miss the live questions and the conversations between sessions. A small team can send one person in person and buy video-only passes for the rest.
DDD Europe
DDD Europe is the software modelling and design conference built around domain-driven design. The 2027 edition is at the Meervaart in Amsterdam, with three workshop days before two conference days.
Best for: Architects and tech leads who work on domain modelling, bounded contexts and the line between business rules and code.
Dates and city: Workshops May 31-June 2, 2027. Conference June 3-4, 2027. Meervaart, Meer en Vaart 300, Amsterdam. In-person.
What you actually get: Full-day and multi-day workshops led by practitioners, then two conference days. Workshop and conference tickets are sold separately.
Notable limitations:
- Prices exclude VAT, and VAT is charged on every order, including EU businesses.
- The price steps up every two to four months.
- Workshops are a separate purchase.
Tickets: Very Early Bird €900 until December 31. Early Bird €1,000 until February 28. Regular €1,150 until April 30. Last Minute €1,300. All excluding VAT. The Blind Bird tier at €795 ended September 30.

iSAQB Software Architecture Gathering runs November 16-19, 2026 at Titanic Chaussee Berlin, with conference days on November 17-18 and workshops on the first and last day. The 2-Day Conference Pass is listed at €1,099 excluding VAT, under a heading that still names an October 15 early-bird date. Check the live price at checkout.
QCon San Francisco runs November 16-18, 2026 at the Hyatt Regency San Francisco, with training on November 19-20. The 3-day conference pass is $2,995 until November 10, 2026.
Other software architecture conferences worth considering
Explore DDD ran September 21-25, 2026 at Hydro at CSU Spur in Denver. 2027 dates are not on the official site yet. The 2026 conference pass ran from $1,295 to $1,995, depending on when you bought.
The Berlin edition of the Software Architecture Summit ran October 12-16, 2026. The next Berlin dates are not posted yet. The Munich edition is in the calendar above.

QCon London is the easiest to share. Every pass includes 12 months of recordings, and the rest of the team can buy Video-Only Passes. If the team works on domain modelling, DDD Europe is the closer fit.
Are there virtual options?
QCon London sells a Video-Only Pass at £470 excluding VAT until November 10, then £515. The OOP, DDD Europe and Software Architecture Summit ticket pages we checked list on-site tickets only. ICSA has not published registration yet.

What happened to Explore DDD?
It ran September 21-25, 2026 in Denver. The official site has not posted 2027 dates yet. We do not invent a date.
Bottom line
Start from the problem your team has this year. For a wide senior program with recordings, plan around QCon London in April. For domain modelling, DDD Europe in June. For German-language workshops, the Software Architecture Summit in March or OOP in February. Add VAT to every figure before you send the budget request.
