Smart contract developers do not need another crypto expo. They need rooms where the talks are about the EVM, tooling, audits and protocol upgrades, and where the person next to them has shipped a contract to mainnet. Many big crypto events have a developer stage. Few are built around developers.
What you need for 2027 is the short list of Ethereum and EVM events that developers actually plan around. Each has a real date, a city, and either a public price or a clear note that registration is not open. Hackathon-first events and conference-first events are marked, because they are different weeks of work.

ETHDenver
ETHDenver is a long-running Ethereum community event in Denver. The official site lists ETHDenver 10, its tenth edition, for March 24 and 25, 2027. The agenda, venue and registration are not out yet.
Best for: Likely a fit for Ethereum and EVM developers in North America who want a community event early in the year. The 2027 agenda is not published, so check the program before you commit.
Dates and city: March 24-25, 2027. Denver. Venue not named on the official site yet. In-person.
What you actually get: Not known yet for 2027. The page says "Full event details and registration information coming soon." The 2024 edition ran February 23 to March 3, with BUIDLWeek sessions at the #BUIDLHub, so the 2027 week may also be longer than two days.
Notable limitations:
- No venue, agenda or price yet. Do not book travel on old-year assumptions.
- Only two dates are listed. Wait for the schedule before you fix travel dates.
- The organizer warns that ETHDenver 2027 will never ask you to connect your wallet, sign a transaction or claim a token. Treat any such site as a scam.
Tickets: Not announced. The official site says registration information is coming soon.
EthCC[10]
EthCC is the Ethereum Community Conference, held in France. The tenth edition runs four days at the Palais des Festivals in Cannes. Pricing goes up in clear waves.
Best for: Solidity developers, protocol teams, researchers and auditors in Europe. Also teams hiring Ethereum engineers.
Dates and city: April 12-15, 2027. Palais des Festivals, 1 Boulevard de la Croisette, Cannes. In-person.
What you actually get: Four days of Ethereum talks and community. The Full Pass covers all four days. Day passes only appear in the later price waves.
Notable limitations:
- Early Bird at 390€ is sold out.
- No day pass until February 1, 2027.
- Cannes hotels near the Croisette are expensive. Book early or stay along the coast.
Tickets: Full Pass 590€ until January 31, 2027. Late Pass from February 1 to March 29: 750€ Full Pass, 200€ Day Pass. Last Call from March 30: 990€ Full Pass, 320€ Day Pass.
Is the EthCC Full Pass worth buying now?
If you are sure you will go, yes. The organizer says buying before January 31 saves up to 400€ against the Last Call price.
ETHPrague
ETHPrague brings Ethereum builders to Prague for a three-day hackathon. It is a build-first event. You come to ship, not to sit in a hall.
Best for: Solidity developers who want to build something in a weekend, and teams scouting developers.
Dates and city: May 28-30, 2027. Prague. Venue not named on the official site yet. In-person.
What you actually get: A three-day hackathon for Ethereum builders. The site offers an updates sign-up and a partner contact for now.
Notable limitations:
- No venue or price published yet.
- Hackathon format. If you want a lecture-style conference, EthCC or ETHConf fits better.
- Details are thin until registration opens.
Tickets: Not announced. Sign up for updates on the official site.
ETHConf
ETHConf is a three-day Ethereum conference run by ETHGlobal at the Javits Center in New York. It is pitched at founders, builders, institutions and policymakers across the EVM ecosystem.
Best for: Developers and protocol teams who also need to meet institutions, payments companies and investors. Less of a pure hacker room than ETHPrague.
Dates and city: June 14-16, 2027. Javits Center, 429 11th Avenue, New York. In-person.
What you actually get: The organizer lists 130+ sessions and 100+ speakers across six themes: stablecoins and payments, DeFi and onchain markets, the Ethereum protocol roadmap, scaling and infrastructure, institutional adoption, and policy and governance.
Notable limitations:
- The General Pass does not include catering.
- The audience leans toward executives and institutions. Deep Solidity tooling talks may be a smaller share.
- Prices shown are early bird. Regular prices are much higher.
Tickets: General Pass $149 (regular $499). Pro Pass $299 (regular $1,099), with networking lounge, lunch and coworking. VIP Pass $699 (regular $2,799). All passes are transferable.
Other Solidity and smart contract conferences worth considering
Devcon 8, the Ethereum Foundation's developer conference, runs November 3-6, 2026 at the World Centre, Bandra Kurla Complex, Mumbai. It is happening now. The next Devcon has no date yet.
Devconnect last ran November 17-22, 2025 at La Rural in Buenos Aires. The official site does not list a next edition.
Solidity Summit is run by the Solidity team. The last one was November 18, 2025 at La Rural, Buenos Aires, with free tickets given out by application. Nothing is listed for 2026 or 2027 yet.
ETHGlobal runs hackathons through the year. ETHGlobal Mumbai runs November 5-7, 2026. No 2027 hackathons are on the events page yet, apart from ETHConf.
