An IoT product touches chips, firmware, radios, cloud software and often a factory. No single event covers all of that well. An engineer choosing a module, a team selling sensors to manufacturers and a startup running a LoRaWAN network each need to meet different people.
This page lists IoT and embedded events with official 2027 dates. For each one you get the city, the venue and the lowest listed price for a ticket that includes the conference program. Free expo passes are described in each event section. If an organizer has not posted 2027 prices, the table says Not announced.

IoT Tech Expo Global
IoT Tech Expo Global is a two-day IoT conference and expo at Olympia in London. In-person. It runs alongside co-located TechEx events, and the Gold Pass covers all of them.
Best for: IoT vendors and startups that want enterprise buyers in London. Teams that want a free first look at the expo. Startups that can apply for the Startup Pass.
Dates and city: February 3-4, 2027. Olympia, London. In-person.
What you actually get: The Gold Pass gives access to all presentations and panels across IoT Tech Expo and its co-located events, plus the networking areas and party. The Free Pass gives the expo floor and selected presentations.
Notable limitations:
- The ticket page does not say whether prices include VAT.
- Job seekers and students are not eligible to attend.
- The Startup Pass needs an application, and the page does not list the criteria.

embedded world
embedded world is the embedded systems exhibition and conference in Nuremberg. It runs three days at the NürnbergMesse exhibition centre. In-person.
Best for: Hardware and firmware engineers building connected devices. Product teams choosing chips, modules, operating systems and tools. Buyers who want to meet suppliers in person.
Dates and city: March 16-18, 2027. NürnbergMesse, Nuremberg. Tuesday and Wednesday 09:00-18:00, Thursday 09:00-17:00. In-person.
What you actually get: An exhibition plus two paid conferences, the embedded world Conference and the electronic displays Conference. The trade fair ticket includes a KombiTicket for Nuremberg public transport.
Notable limitations:
- Tickets and vouchers are sold online only. There is no box office.
- Conference tickets are separate from the exhibition ticket.
- No conference pass is on sale yet. The shop only sells the exhibition ticket.
Tickets: Exhibition ticket €28 incl. VAT, valid for all three days. The visitor page also publishes a free voucher code, SeeYouAtew27, for exhibition entry, redeemed online with registration. The exhibition ticket does not cover the embedded world Conference. Conference passes: Not announced.
Can I buy an embedded world ticket at the door?
No. The organizer says ticket sales and voucher redemption take place only online. Buy or redeem before you travel.
Hannover Messe
Hannover Messe is the industrial trade fair on the Hannover exhibition grounds. It runs four days, Monday to Thursday. In-person. The organizer describes it as the leading trade show for the manufacturing industry.
Best for: Industrial IoT vendors who sell to manufacturers. Teams building factory connectivity or automation software. Buyers comparing many suppliers in one week.
Dates and city: April 5-8, 2027, Monday to Thursday, 9:00 to 18:00. Messegelände, 30521 Hannover. In-person.
What you actually get: A manufacturing trade fair with a daily program of speakers listed on the official site.
Notable limitations:
- The visitor ticket shop is not open yet, and no 2027 prices are published.
- The grounds are large. Plan which halls you need before you arrive.
- Hotels in Hannover fill up for the fair. Book early.
Tickets: Not announced. The official site has no visitor ticket shop or 2027 prices yet.
Sensors Converge
Sensors Converge is a sensors and embedded systems event in Silicon Valley. It runs three days at the Santa Clara Convention Center. In-person.
Best for: US device teams working on sensing and edge hardware. Engineers who want suppliers without flying to Germany. Startups that want a free way in through the Expo Pass.
Dates and city: June 8-10, 2027. Santa Clara Convention Center, 5001 Great America Pkwy, Santa Clara, CA. In-person.
What you actually get: An expo and a conference. The organizer lists sensing, processing, connectivity, edge AI and embedded systems as its topics. A free Expo Pass is open for early registration.
Notable limitations:
- Paid conference pass prices are not published yet.
- The site does not say what the free Expo Pass includes.
- Check the agenda page before you choose a pass.

The Things Conference
The Things Conference is a LoRaWAN conference in Amsterdam. It runs two days at De Kromhouthal. In-person.
Best for: Teams building LoRaWAN devices, gateways and networks. Smart city and asset-tracking builders. Anyone who wants to meet the LoRaWAN community in one place.
Dates and city: September 28-29, 2027. De Kromhouthal, Amsterdam. In-person.
What you actually get: A focused LoRaWAN program and the people who build on it.
Notable limitations:
- No 2027 ticket options yet. The tickets page says they will be announced there.
- The focus is LoRaWAN. Teams on other radios may find less of the program relevant.
- Two days is short. Set up meetings before you arrive.
Tickets: Not announced. The official tickets page says ticket options for 2027 will be announced there.
Other IoT conferences worth considering
CES runs January 6-9, 2027 in Las Vegas. It covers consumer technology, including smart home and connected products. We list it with prices on our hardware conferences page.
IoT Tech Expo North America is dated June 16-17, 2027 at the San Jose McEnery Convention Center. It is the US sister event of the London show.
embedded world North America ran September 22-24, 2026 in Anaheim. The 2027 edition is October 12-14, 2027 at the Long Beach Convention Center.
