The SQL Server Data Toolset (SSDT) is a universal declarative data mining paradigm that extends all of the phases of database development within the Visual Studio Integrated Development Environment (IDE).
Table Designer, which is included with SSDT, allows users to not only generate new tables but also change existing tables in both direct and connected databases. Since BIDS was not compatible with Visual Studio 2010, the SSDT BI was developed as a replacement for BIDS. SSDT BI got its start by utilising BIDS as its foundation.
